greazefest!

Hey all you sweet things! So i'm going to be bloggin away about more than just my art on here but if you've only come to look at my pretty lil illustrations and commission works,I've got just the thing for you  on the right hand side I have it so you're just one click away from looking at what you like.

A few weekend ago it was that time of year again, GREAZEFEST! Full of hot rods, hot babes and lots of market stalls. I went with my mumma and dad, we had such a great day the weather was perfect for such an open outside event. Located in Rocklea show ground just outside of brisbane made for the perfect location to have a lil dance and drink some freshly squeezed lemonade. I only went on the Saturday as I was too busy to go all three days. I met the lovely Bree from Dead Gorgeous Cosmetics whom I had designed her logo for, I got to see it all printed up and even snapped a photo with her. I also talked to lots of lovelies I really must remember to take my business cards more often. I had owners of hot rods ask me to pose with their hotrods which was like, Me? dorky me? UM OF COURSE! ~spreads self out on hot rod~.

A few lil snaps from the day.

One of my favourite things in the whole world is creating invites! They are a great mixture of design elements, layouts, illustrations to make a cohesive piece! eee. I unfortunate don't get to do them to often so you know how excited I must be when I get to do! (hint MEGA EXCITED!) Here is one i finished on the weekend for bride to be Sophie. Sophie is a returning client I was lucky enough to do a couple illustration of herself and her fiance. (all personal information has been changed)

Digital Copies

(for true colour scheme)

I've been trying to grow as an illustrator recently trying without harsh outlines & I think it looks so soft and lovely.

Currently working on quite a few projects!

Dead Gorgeous Cosmetics

Good evening lovely lil sweets, This week I was working on a rebranding for Dead Gorgeous Cosmetics, They're run by a lovely lady Named Bree. Her make up range is amazing and will bring out your inner pin up. I've pinched this off her facebook so you can hear about her brand from the lovely lady herself.

"An all natural mineral makeup designed to help you bring out your inner pinup. Free from any animal products and absolutely NO ANIMAL TESTING makes sure you get a reliable and safe makeup you can be proud to wear."

I researched 1950's signs and logos as well as some inspiration Bree had in mind which was a lot of fun, I try to keep true to shapes constant of the era and this is what I created.

& of cause the little details.

Dead Gorgeous Cosmetics is also a sponsor for the upcoming event Rockabilly RIot, so if you're in brisbane from the 9th to the 11th of August make sure to go and check it out and pick up some goodies from Bree I know i will be.

Shake all day!

I'm fortunate enough to work with some of the most talented and sweet hearted people and Naomi is no different. How excited and enthusiastic she is about everything only made me more excited and enthusiastic to work with her. I was luckily enough to work with her to create a lil cute lady that will represent her brand and image. (I loved the colour scheme I created here).

She then had some items made up with the lovely lady on it She has business cards, Tshirts, Mugs, Signs and soon she'll even be on her car! (how cool is that driving around town hehe)

Make sure to check out Naomi's new Facebook page for her treats! They all look so yummy.
