Lil brochure.

Recently for an assignment we were asked to design a brochure, I chose to do mine on a bike tour around lil old Brisbane. We were only aloud to use two pantones so I chose a dark grey and a pink and through the use of tints I think the final design is quite the cuteie!

Makes me excited for summer bike rides and pink lemonade.

Supanova Brisbane 2013. GOODIES I BOUGHT.

So, I have a few posts for supanova seeing as it's such a big event. I thought I'd start off with what everyone loves! THE THINGS I BOUGHT. I also bought shirts for my mum  and another star trek badge for my mum.

Miss Nikki Turns 22

So it was my birthday last wednesday I turned 22, I absolutely love birthdays of any kind my own someone else any they are just so much fun to celebrate someone. This year I had a test so off to uni I went also not feeling a 100% after supanova I spent a lot of it resting. My wonderful parents bought me a cintiq 13HD which I've been trying to save for, for what seems like forever. I cried when unwrapping it because I could not believe they love me that much. (joking!) Sadly because I was unaware it needed adaptors for macs I have not been able to set it up yet but when I do I'll tell you guys about it! Maybe a little review.

On the monday though all my friends and I sat down to some pancakes at pancake manor in the CBD. I even got a pancake with sparklers on it!  They spoilt me rotten, I got a rilakkuma bag that rilakkuma IS IN A PUMPKIN some super cute candy heart clips both from my friend Kara, A badge that says sweet heart from a dear old friend Jess and all my Uni buddies put in and got me this wonderful organizer from Kikki K I plan to do a post on it and how I organize it soon so stay posted.

Here is my amazing cake, IT'S A PUMPKIN! I love that everyone knows my love for pumpkins.
Was so yummy, actually eating a piece as I blog.

and to top off this birthday week of celebration On sunday 

I went to a buffet with the fam. Spoilt lady indeed.

Snips and clips!

One of the biggest perks for my work is definitely all the talented people I get to work and surround myself with. Sophie, a very talented hairdresser has recently taken one of the biggest and exciting new ventures and has decided to open up her own salon! When she contacted me I could of not been more thrilled to work with someone so passionate about there work. Over many emails we chose a colour scheme and ideas and off I went to create. After a few little adjustments we had the final product which Sophie got printed.

She was kind enough to send me a few and I'm so proud of how they turned out. 

Working off a few mood boards with images provided by Sophie the red and dark teal were the chosen to be the main focus on the branding. I really enjoy being able to combine my illustrations with graphic design. All the things Miss Nikki loves in my project!

Trailer trash Halloween Flash day.

On the first Saturday of November Mimsy's Trailer trash Tattoo held a Halloween Flash day. A flash day for people who are not familiar is when all the tattoo artist draw up a flash sheet and have set prices for each piece and you're able to chose off of the sheet. My mum and i got up early and dressed up for it seeing as my love for halloween is on the scale at very high. I was a zombie on holiday! We bought some yummy brain cupcakes and goodie bag while we waited for our turn we got to chat to a few fun ladies. They even had a scary haunted maze which made me squeal.
