Life sweets // Tattoo apprenticeship

It's crazy to think it's been a year since I started my tattoo apprenticeship at the painted lady. It all started like a dream come true and honestly hasn't stopped being amazing  since then. It's been hard work don't get me wrong, long weeks specially last year when I was completing my degree and my internship as well as my apprenticeship but I got through it all. I'm addicted to learning it seems and my apprenticeship I've learnt so much, not just about tattooing, but how to run a shop, how to deal with clients but mainly how to fall in love with your job. I work with the most amazing bunch of talented and wonderful women it helps me strive to be the best I can be. I'm so excited to grow more, try new experiences related to this and to start tattooing this year and really let the fun, and learning begin! This year I'll go to my first tattoo convention with a studio, when I was 14 i dragged my parents to a local convention and was in awe the entire time, thinking one day this will be me!  Thanks to my family & friends and all my supporters I'm looking forward to creating permanent art on you all so soon!

Here I am tattooing an orange!

Things i've learnt, fake skin is nothing like real skin and will slowly hurt your soul.

Some of my flash designs I've been working on in the past few months.

Adventures // Greazefest.

Hey all you cuties, I'm back I've had a lot of personal things going on but I'm all back on the saddle now. This past weekend was Greazefest one of the best kustom kulture events in Australia. It's a tradition for Mum and I to go, but was very happy to take my Mr and my dad as well.

Funny story, last year I was getting my photo in front of some hot rods at last years greazefest and a few months ago I was going through them and none other than my boyfriend Ben is in the background of the photos. I even took a photo of his Val as he was driving away because I loved it. Goes to show you, you never know who'll you'll meet and how important a then stranger will become in your life.

This year was a lot of fun, we went on the Sunday full of wonderful hotrods, beautiful ladies and gents, bikes, food, stalls It's seriously a blast. I ran into so many illustrator friends I know so it was a wonderful time to catch up with friends as well.

Adventure // Mimsy trailer trash day with mumma!

Lil lady Miss Nikki has undergone quite a few personal changes in the past weeks so sorry for not updating on the reg. I'm very excited for the future and these very exciting oppertunitys, I will of course share with all when the time is right!

So a little while a go my mumma bear and I for her birthday booked into to see Mimsy, From Trailer Trash Tattoo here in Brisbane. Every once and a while mumma and I book a day together to get tattoos it's wonderful mumma and daughter time and it's something I'm always going to remember. Mimsy is one of the most wonderful and inspiring people I have ever met, getting tattooed by her is a pleasure! We both got mermaids on our legs. (Mines below!) Mummas bear needs a second sitting so I'll post that when It's all finished. Mum packed a lil picnic and we had it down stairs in their lil tiki bar near their caravans, it's so cute and a lot of fun.

Next door is a battery shop and outside they have a massive battery so of course I got my photo with it for my collection of Miss Nikki with Big things.

My Mumma & I the day after but thought I'd share how cute we look.

The amazing Mimsy at work.
