Ekka // Version 1.0

So one of Miss Nikki's favourite times of the year is August and thats simply for one reason, EKKA. The ekka is the Brisbanes Exhibition. It's 10 days of cows, rides, showbags and dagwood dogs! I even have a ekka themed kewpie tattoo on the back of my leg. This year I was lucky enough to go two times, one with my amazing boyfriend and then with mumma bear. So not to overload you all at once I will have 3 posts on the ekka, This one will be about Ben & I's time, the one with my mumma and the third is a special photoshoot edition Ben and I did with say cheesecake photography.

So Ben has never been to the ekka, So of course I was over the moon when I was the one who got to take him and show him around. I tried to fit in a slice of all the sections. We did sideshow alley, saw all the wonderful animals saw some cows get belly scathes and even ate a cheese toastie! We stayed for the night time show, which was a lot fun of monster trucks and bikes doing tricks and a sweet little girl asking when ben was going to marry me haha. Here are some of the polaroids from the day as well as a few other snaps. Stay tuned for Version 2.0 and all the wonderful photographs from say cheesecake photography over the next week and so!

Kitschy Kitschy Cute!

Something I've never drawn was little humans, but when the wonderful Bree whom I have worked with on her makeup company logo and was lucky enough to meet at Greazefest, asked me to do a logo for her new business I jumped at the opportunity. I'm always about challenging myself and trying new things and for her new business venture Kitschy Kitschy Cute we came up with a very kitschy cute design.

Here is Bree & I last year at Greazefest, I hope I get to see her at a show this year such a wonderful lady.

Make sure to check out her new facebook for Kitschy Kitschy Cute!

Pop That Cassette.

POP! That Cassette is a accessory company run by the very talented Alicia. Her products speak volume to her creative sense and honestly I melt just looking through her online store.

The Goodies!
When I opened the box I was greeted by the loveliest packaging which to me is always such a special touch. I also had a lovely little note which fills me up with warm and gooey feels. One of the first things I noticed was how well made all these super cute items were, all finished off with velvet so your hair or cute clothes won't get caught on the prong clips. No glue running off the edges all very professional but honestly from such a talented lady I did not expect anything less. All her items are made with love and care and designed to perfection. Now on to the goodies I received

The sweater guards.
I was determined to pair this with a spring outfit because I think these little cuties need to be on display all year round. I really love the pink bow on contrast to the black it makes it pop! I've aways had a thing for these and this is honestly me in a pair so I'm dying to get another set.

The bow clip.
Is that a lil black cat I see? Ah it is!! I'm in love with this little puff clip. 3 layers of super cute ribbon topped off with a black glitterly kitty. ( My Cat is black so I obviously just squealed with this one.)

The fascinator.
When I opened the box, this was the first thing I saw, It was love at first sight. I adore the flower and cherry with a glitter glaze. I can envision myself pairing this with the most outrageous outfits but also the most basic to bring it to life.

You can find Pop that cassette at these lovely locations.
