Adventure : Say cheesecake photography

As promised here are a select few of the wonderful photos from our couple photo shoot at the EKKA. These adorable photos were taken by the very sweet and talented Kimberley from Say cheesecake photography.  Her work is very beautiful and whimsical her edits are always so wonderful  and really suit the tone of the photo shoot.

If you're from Brisbane or get the chance to shoot with her, take it she is such a sweetheart and seems to capture that moment you never want to forget.

Make sure to check out her facebook,
I'll 100% be getting another shoot with her sometime in the future.

These photos really show how amazing my relationship with my partner is. He is not only my boyfriend, but he is my best friend. We can spend days just hanging out in the garage working on our own things or we can spend days going on adventures. He supports me through thick and thin, he helps me when i'm down and lifts me higher when I'm up. I love him to the moon and back and I'm so lucky for every day I get to spend with him in my life.

ps. I'm working on revamping my blog so stay tuned for some new little layout changes.

Ekka // Version 1.0

So one of Miss Nikki's favourite times of the year is August and thats simply for one reason, EKKA. The ekka is the Brisbanes Exhibition. It's 10 days of cows, rides, showbags and dagwood dogs! I even have a ekka themed kewpie tattoo on the back of my leg. This year I was lucky enough to go two times, one with my amazing boyfriend and then with mumma bear. So not to overload you all at once I will have 3 posts on the ekka, This one will be about Ben & I's time, the one with my mumma and the third is a special photoshoot edition Ben and I did with say cheesecake photography.

So Ben has never been to the ekka, So of course I was over the moon when I was the one who got to take him and show him around. I tried to fit in a slice of all the sections. We did sideshow alley, saw all the wonderful animals saw some cows get belly scathes and even ate a cheese toastie! We stayed for the night time show, which was a lot fun of monster trucks and bikes doing tricks and a sweet little girl asking when ben was going to marry me haha. Here are some of the polaroids from the day as well as a few other snaps. Stay tuned for Version 2.0 and all the wonderful photographs from say cheesecake photography over the next week and so!

Twinkleite.

My Mumma bear & I have been in the works for a while now on a lil vintage inspired line of jewellery mainly focusing on a spin on lucite with our modern reproduction. We will be selling these via our facebook page & at our market stalls. We also do custom orders. Such an exciting thing to do with my Mumma on a winter afternoon.

I designed all the packaging, logo and signage for our little business. Any chance for me to use some starburst & harlequin print.

Commission // Kustom Krafts.

I've been a stall holder of the wonderful Kustom Kraft Markets for a while now, It's very unique in it's kind. Imagine 35+ stalls of amazing vintage goodness it's so hard for me to not run around and buy all the goodies! I've been working with Kat on the flyers since I became a stall holder, shes such a fun client and friend. The markets are being held at Strathpine Westfield on the July 6th as well as the Helensvale Westfield on August 24th. So make sure you save all your pennies and come on down for the day there will be vintage cars, dancing and food what is there not to love?

oh and I'll be there as well hehe.

Commission // Engagement Kimberley & Lachlan.

I'm one of these mushy people who loves weddings, valentines day and just love in general. Something that also tickles my fancy is invites so of course when I was asked by the sweetest and cutest couple ever Kimberley & Lachlan to design the invites to their engagement party I was so happy and said yes.

I illustrated the wonderful bride to be and Groom to be for the front of the invites.
I used a wonderful colour scheme of yummy browns, soft rose, faint pink and a minty green.
These colours played wonderful role in the invites. I used an collection of different typefaces which is always a lot of fun.

No matter what you need invites for birthdays, weddings, house warming or even a summer bbq I'm your lil lady.

Commission // Thrifty Car Rentals.

Sometimes in a lil lady designers life you have to pinch yourself with some of the exciting clients you get to work with. I was contacted by Thrifty car rental on the Gold Coast to design the flyer and logo for their shirts ( sadly did not get a picture of the wonderful ladies in the shirts) for their new beach buggies range. Seriously how flippin cute are these guys?

For this flyer I used the original thrifty logo colour scheme and went from there, it was such a fun piece to design.

Of course I had to get a photo with the buggie, I was so excited hehe.
